Wow! What a conference! This year our expectations were exceeded by a lot!  We really hoped and planned things in a way that we knew all attendees and speakers could enjoy the each other’s company. We hoped that everyone could get along, enjoying the conferences, the beach, the food and the activities we planned for you.  It was risky, because spending a lot of time together might not be what everyone was expecting.  Fortunately, the outcome was awesome and we all enjoyed it to the max!

However, we know that there is still a lot to work on. We need to improve in various areas in order to continue making this event a must for all software developers.

Thanks to your feedback, we know that we need to pay more attention to the small details. And needless to say, we need to improve the internet and the video of the conferences.

We have a plan for that, but right now, let’s focus on what we CAN do in a short term.  One of the most important changes will be that we are no longer going to produce this Magmazine, but we will use a newsletter instead. This will make it easier for you to be informed with the latests news, and we will stay in touch more often.  Same content, just a different method of communicating it.

Magma Conf is an event aimed to shorten the gap between the Mexican Development communities and the rest of the world. That is why we are working on a few follow-up events that we think will make this possible.  Code Retreats, Workshops and other conference related efforts will be happening year long.  Please, stay tuned to our newsletter for more information on that.

For now, we leave you with this last issue of the Magmazine. Please read it, share it, share it with others and most important, give us feedback on what kind of topics you would like to know about the planning of Magma Conf 2014.

Regards,

Stbn
